Agents acting for the owners of the former Woolworth store in Wells will announce a new tenant in the next two weeks.

Savills, who are handling the letting of the building, say that a deal is ready to be signed.

One of the rumoured new tenants for the building, discount retailer 99p Stores, announced this week that the company had a programme in place to triple its number of outlets.

However the company was not available for comment about the Wells High Street outlet.
