Woman knocked over while crossing Clevedon road suffers serious injuries
A woman suffered serious spinal and arm injuries after being knocked over in a collision with a vehicle while crossing a road in Clevedon on Friday night.
The woman was crossing the road from Northern Walk towards Brookfield Walk at around 11.40pm when the incident happened.

Police said the vehicle involved, described as a silver or white transit, failed to stop after the collision, and officers are appealing for information.
"The victim was treated for serious injuries at the scene and remains in hospital where she is being treated for arm and spinal injuries," said Avon and Somerset Police in a statement.

"The impact caused the nearside wing mirror of a Ford transit to be left at the scene.
"We are appealing for anyone who saw a vehicle fitting this description heading away from Northern Way towards the motorway roundabout, to get in touch.
"The direction of travel after this roundabout was not known.
"We are also appealing for anyone who may have noticed any recent damage to a transit, missing a nearside front wing mirror, or any garages which have had vehicles fitting this description, requesting parts."
