Woman accused of assault and threats
A BRUTON woman has been ordered to stand trial accused of two separate allegations of assault and public order involving the same victim.
Hollie Denise Grimes, aged 23, of Vineys Yard, appeared before Somerset Magistrates sitting at Yeovil charged with the offences which are both alleged to have taken place in Bruton.
She pleaded not guilty to assaulting Elanor Froud by beating her during an incident on May 27.
She also denied that with intent to cause Miss Froud harassment, alarm or distress, she used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards her during a subsequent altercation on June 21.

Following a brief discussion of the evidence the magistrates adjourned the case until November 26 for a legal argument to take place over whether there should be one trial or two separate hearings.
Grimes' attendance was excused on that date and until her next court appearance she was given unconditional bail.
