Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist and a car were in collision in Bridgwater, Somerset, yesterday morning.

The incident happened at 6.50am at the junction of Taunton Road and Wills Road. The cyclist was knocked off his bicycle – which was damaged – and suffered minor injuries.

The motorist, driving a green Ford Fiesta, initially stopped before driving off without exchanging details.

Anyone who saw the collision or knows the driver involved is asked to contact the Taunton police station on 101 or to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
