Wincanton man to stand trial over alleged baseball bat possession

A Wincanton man accused of having a metal baseball bat with him in a public place has been ordered to stand trial.

Brian Chubb, 53, of Rickhayes, appeared before Somerset Magistrates, sitting at Yeovil, charged with being in possession of an offensive weapon at Wincanton on Wednesday, February 6.

He denied the allegation and the case was adjourned until Tuesday, May 7.
