BUSINESSES who work together and share ideas are encouraged to enter this year's Somerset Business Awards.

The Open Innovation Initiative is sponsoring the Collaborative Innovation Award for the second year running to inspire businesses to work in new and different ways to develop and grow and enhance the economy of Somerset.

The project is part funded by the Europe Interreg programme and is a partnership between Somerset County Council, Plymouth University, Southwest One and the Somerset Chamber of Commerce.

Councillor David Hall, deputy leader and cabinet member for economic development, infrastructure and innovation, said: "I encourage local businesses and entrepreneurs to enter the awards to benefit from being recognised as pioneers and business leaders in Somerset."
