Weston-super-Mare up to tenth after win at Maidenhead United
Weston-super-Mare lifted themselves up to tenth place in the Blue Square Bet South table with a 1-0 victory at Maidenhead United.
The visitors steadily began to dominate as Martin Slocombe forced a decent save from home goalkeeper Billy Lumley, while Ashley Kington and Chas Hemmings went close as well.
Kane Ingram was unlucky on 36 minutes when his fierce shot came off the inside of the Maidenhead post and rebounded back into play.
The crucial goal came on 62 minutes when Ross Stearn’s corner was only half-cleared and Ingram beat Lumley from the edge of the penalty area.
