Weston-super-Mare get second point in draw at Hornchurch
Defences dominated at Bridge Avenue as Weston-super-Mare battled for their second Blue Square South point of the season in a 0-0 draw at Hornchurch.
Midfielder Nabi Diallo worked tirelessly to set up frontmen Kane Ingram and Chas Hemmings, but the side failed to break down a stubborn defence.
Weston welcomed back central defender Matt Villis and the side gave a much better display than in recent games.
The home side were well served by Lewis Smith, who was put a free kick just over the crossbar and later forced Weston keeper Lloyd Irish into a couple of saves.

Minutes into the second half, Hornchurch’s Martin Tuohy burst through on his own, but his lob from the edge of the Weston penalty area was wide of the mark.
In five minutes of added on time, Hornchurch forced two corners, but Irish brought off a splendid save to deny Smith from the first and Tuohy fired over from the second.
