Weston-super-Mare must play to strengths against Boreham Wood
Craig Laird will urge his Weston-super-Mare team to play to their strengths before sending them out to face free-scoring Boreham Wood in the Blue Square South League tomorrow.
The Hertfordshire outfit have become something of a bogey team for the Seagulls, who have invariably lost heavily whenever the two sides have met in recent seasons.
But manager Laird has no plans to park the bus at the Meadow Ground and will instead encourage his players to “have a go”.
Laird, pictured, said: “Boreham Wood are a very good side and we will have to pay them the respect they are due.

“But it is important not to show them too much respect by changing the way we do things.
“We can go there and defend, but that would only detract from what we are good at.
“Of course, we need to be a bit cuter defensively, but we also have to play to our strengths and go forward.”
Weston will be strengthened by the return of striker Kane McLaggon and midfielder schemers Nabbi Diablo and Rob Trowbridge, and Laird selects from a full-strength squad.
