Weston-super-Mare boss wants decisive action at both ends
Weston-super-Mare boss Craig Laird is urging his players to be more decisive in both penalty areas.
And he believes the Seagulls can learn from their 3-0 FA Trophy exit at the hands of Blue Square South leaders Salisbury last weekend.

He said: “We played well against them, but they just had that little bit of quality at either end of the pitch and that made the difference.
“That is what you get when you have a big budget. We don’t have that kind of money at Weston, but we can work hard to get the best out of what we have got and try to close the gap that way.”

Laird is confident a similar level of performance will yield dividends when his side returns to Blue Square South action against Havant & Waterlooville at the Woodspring Stadium.
The visitors will be in confident mood after thrashing Dorchester 4-0 in midweek, but Laird insisted: “It is all about what we do.
“We have had a lean time of late, but we have been playing well and need to maintain that.”
Laird will await the outcome of late fitness checks on Nabi Diallo and Brett Trowbridge before finalising his line-up.
