Weston-Super-Mare stumble at hands of Tonbridge Angels
TONBRIDGE ANGELS 3 WESTON-SUPER-MARE 0
Weston crashed to their third consecutive defeat as Tonbridge striker Frannie Collin, the Blue Square Bet South’s leading scorer, added two more goals to his impressive haul.

However, if Weston had taken some of their second-half chances, it may have been a different outcome.
The defeat drops Weston from sixth place to seventh in the table.
Played in a torrential downpour and a strong swirling wind, both sides struggled to come to terms with the conditions in a poor first half.
The only shot on target came from Tonbridge’s Lee Browning, who tested Weston goalkeeper Lloyd Irish from distance.
Early in the second half, Nabi Diallo and Marcus Duharty went close for Weston a couple of times each, but the home side took the lead on 54 minutes when Collin beat Irish with a 40-yard head-high free- kick that went through the goalkeeper’s arms.
After that, Tonbridge took control with Jake Beecroft and Nathan Koranteng making speedy runs on the flanks and Collin struck again on 67 minutes, firing across Irish to finish a good flowing move involving Browning, Chris Piper and substitute Mikel Suarez.
A minute into stoppage-time, Weston’s Jamie Laird was harshly adjudged to have fouled Sonny Miles and substitute Jon Main scored from the resultant penalty.
Weston have another tough encounter this evening, away to third-placed Chelmsford City in a rearranged Blue Square Bet South fixture.
