Wells school friends record tribute song to classmate
TWO classmates from a Wells school have got together to release a song in memory of their friend.
Poppy Mills and Roy Cheung have recorded the song for their best mate Niall Mellis who passed away earlier this year after losing his fight against cancer.
The song is called Flower and is in Poppy’s words “something to remember Niall by as he was such a good friend”.
The song is available from iTunes and all the money raised will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust who supported Niall through his illness.

The idea came together during the summer break with Poppy and Roy teaming up in their spare time at Wells Cathedral School, where they are both studying music.
Poppy said: “We wanted to remember Niall in some way but were unsure how to do it so we came up with the idea of writing a song and the lyrics relate a great deal to Niall.
“It took about four weeks to complete and we are very pleased with the end result.
“Hopefully it will raise lots of money from sales and will help the charity that looked after Niall when he was very ill.
“Both Roy and I were very close to Niall, we miss him a lot and this our way to always remember him.
“Niall so loved and adore his music and the work he was doing here and its a terrible tragedy that he died so young at the age of 17.”
