Wells Tennis Club's A team returned to action after the winter break with victory against Bridgwater B, winning a closely-fought encounter 3-1.

Ladies pairing Vicky Flicker and Julie Kinsey got the ball rolling for Wells with a 6-2, 6-4 success. Andrzej Piecuch and Matt Goatcher were not quite as convincing in the men's match but still recorded a 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 victory.

There was a brief cause for concern when Flicker and Piecuch lost the first mixed contest 7-6, 7-5 but Kinsey and Goatcher ensured Wells had the final say, wrapping up the victory with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 triumph in the final match.
