Wells RFC are facing a fixture backlog after Saturday's 1st and 2nd XV home fixtures were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

The 1sts were left frustrated after their scheduled Western Counties North encounter with Weston Hornets was called off, while the 2nds' date with their Wellington counterparts in Somerset 1 suffered the same fate.

Weston will now visit Wells on Easter Monday, April 1 – one of 11 matches the newly-promoted side must fit in between now and the end of the season in April.

They take on a powerful Barton Hill side in a clash of the division's second and third-placed sides at the Portway Ground on Saturday.

The 2nds, meanwhile, travel to Whitchurch to take on Bristol Barbarians.

Wells 3rds did manage to play this weekend and recorded a 34-8 victory over Yatton to stay third in Somerset 3 South.

They host local rivals Tor on Saturday, while the Colts are away to Midsomer Norton in the Merit Table.
