Rules have changed since the first staging of the event 27 years ago, with each captain's guest having to come from another club.
Four of this year's entrants also played in 1986, while 1969 captain Trevor Holman stood in as captain for the day, with Jerry Suensen-Taylor on holiday.
Captain Jim Saint and Mendip Spring's David Rich won the George Ellis Trophy with 50 points, edging out George Davis and Keri Allchurch (Worlebury), and Clive Keene and Roy Parmiter (Long Sutton) on countback. Allchurch also won the nearest the pin prize at the 17th.
Somerset Golf Union president Brian Evans took part as David White's guest and thanked the former captains on behalf of the guest players.
