Watchet welcomes new town crier as David Milton replaces Alec Danby
He is already a stone sculptor, football referee, cricket coach and Punch and Judy entertainer, but now David Milton is adding another string to his bow, as town crier in Watchet, Somerset.
The 53-year-old printer, takes over from Alec Danby, who held the title for 25 years.
Mr Milton said: “Alec will be a hard act to follow. I’m looking forward to the challenge with a mixture of apprehension and enthusiasm.”
