Walkers gather for a countryside ramble
WALKERS young and old gathered at the scout hut at the Blue School, Wells, for the Mendip Ramblers' Walking Festival.
Nearly 300 people took part in the festival with many coming from far afield.
There were visitors from all over the country and even some from France to wander amid the beautiful landscape that surrounds the city.
Mendip rambler Mary Birchall said: "It was a very nice time. After last year, which was wet, we were very lucky with the weather.
"It's lovely to see people from other rambling groups.
"Most of them have their own festivals and we go to those as well.
"Across the country rambling is getting bigger."
