Vote for Cheddar Gorge to become eighth Wonder
CHEDDAR Gorge is bidding to be named the eighth Wonder of the World and urging people from across the south west to vote.
The historic natural gorge is competing against more than 350 venues around the globe vying for the title.
Maureen McAllister, head of operations and marketing at Cheddar Gorge, said: “We’ve been told by the organisers that we’re still in the race to be crowned the eighth Wonder.
“We’ve never been out of the top 100 places apparently, but we will need one final, concerted effort if we’re to make a sprint finish to the tape.
