The owner of a Cheddar Valley delicatessen and cafe celebrated two successful years in business by throwing a party for the whole village.

Lisa Salter, who runs the Pumpkin Deli in Wedmore, kept the shop open late on Friday evening to thank all her customers and the front garden was filled with around a hundred people.

Before Lisa Salter took over the running of the deli, she had been running two others in Wandsworth, London.

She said: "Although I was born in Jamaica, I went to school in Taunton and I have always wanted to move back to the West Country.

"Wedmore is a wonderful place to run a business – the customers are lovely, so friendly and supportive. Without them I couldn't have survived."
