IT was a big three points. You ask any manager that's got to play for 86 minutes with 11 men in your favour against ten, although at the time you think that's handy, you also know that it's a difficult one, especially when we had created so many opportunities, but we didn't quite take them.
But I was proud of the lads, and proud of the club. It was a clever performance. For most of the game, we dictated it.

We gave them a little lifeline towards the end, which was disappointing. Teams like Preston are going to have that little bit of ability to put you under pressure on occasions. But we saw it out and I thought the lads put in a terrific workrate today, and they were dying for the cause.
I was very pleased, because we showed some good ability as well. We played some good football and we got people in on numerous occasions. It must have been quite exciting for the Yeovil public.
I thought we had a really terrific period, with our midfielders getting on the ball, passing it, feeding the forwards. The two forwards in the first half were magnificent – absolutely magnificent.
That was proper centre-forward play. They've got to just do that now for two halves, and we'll be at the other end of the table.
