Video: See yourself run the 2012 Christmas Cracker 10k in Weston-super-Mare

Nearly 2,000 runners took to the beach at Weston-super-Mare this morning for the annual Christmas Cracker 10k race.

Organised by Weston AC, the race started and finished underneath the Grand Pier and took runners along the seafront and promenade areas of the town.

A howling wind and winter chill didn't put off the majority of runners turning out in festive attire to join in with the race's Christmas theme.

Organisers encouraged all competitors to wear at least one piece of tinsel, while others donned Santa Claus, reindeer, snowman and elf costumes.
