Malian singer Rokia Traore is the first act confirmed for the 2013 Glastonbury Festival.
The singer, songwriter and guitarist makes her second appearance at Worthy Farm, having previously played at the festival in 2009.

An announcement on the Glastonbury Festival website said Traore would be one of several musicians from Mali opening each day on the Pyramid Stage.
“In an act of solidarity with the musicians from Mali – where Islamists in the north have banned music – an artist from the country will open the Pyramid Stage each day,” the statement said.
