Justin Pipe is through to the second round of the Cash Converters Players Championship Finals after a 6-3 win over Colin Osborne.

Pipe, from North Curry near Taunton, had a vociferous home support behind him in the arena at Butlins Minehead this afternoon.

After a flying start with a 180 and 140, Pipe missed three darts to break Osborne's throw and went 1-0 down.

Pipe took the next two legs with finishes of 76 and 60, and hit D8 in the fourth to go 3-1 up.

Osborne pulled one back, but 'The Force' restored his two-leg advantage with a D4, before Osborne won his last leg of the game in the seventh.

Double top gave Pipe a 5-3 lead and, despite missing four darts for the match in the final leg, he wrapped it up with D10.

Pipe will play the winner of tonight's game between James Wade and Brendan Dolan.
