POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a spate of vandalism, during which at least six properties were damaged within two days, although the incidents are not necessarily believed to be linked.

On Friday, August 20, a camper van was targeted in High Street in Stoke-sub-Hamdon. The window was not smashed but a small stone was lodged between the Perspex panes.

The following day one home in Coat Road in Martock, had a brick thrown through the window. Another home in Coat, near Martock, had six windows smashed with small stones, possibly via a catapult device.

Also on Saturday three windows were broken at one house in Silver Street in East Lambrook and one window broken at a further home in the village. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them on 0845 4567000.
