Yeovil MP David Laws
The data, published this week by the Office for National Statistics, show that unemployment in the Yeovil constituency area, which includes Crewkerne, Chard and Ilminster, has fallen since December 2011, placing it in the top 100 constituencies for levels of employment in the whole of the UK.
However, the figures do not differentiate between part-time or full-time jobs.

Yeovil MP David Laws said: "It is good to see that unemployment in Yeovil constituency has fallen since this time last year and remains far lower than in other areas of the UK.
"We have strong local businesses, which have helped Yeovil to weather the side-effects of the international economic crisis better than other areas.
"However we cannot be complacent and I will keep working hard with local business and employers to make sure this good news continues so that people currently struggling to get work can find it".
