A Glastonbury resident is asking people to keep their eyes on the skies for a runaway parakeet.

The bird, green with a black beak and white and grey speckled throat made a daring escape through a window in Northload Street and it is hoped that the bird will still be in town centre area.

The bird belongs to a four year old boy, and a reward is being offered for it's safe return.
