Several schools in Somerset are waiting to assess the latest conditions before deciding whether to reopen today.
Much of the county had rain overnight, although light dustings of snow have been reported on higher ground and in parts of Bath and North East Somerset this morning.

Hemington Primary School near Radstock remains closed today because conditions on the two steep hills leading to the school are dangerous.
Horrington Primary School in Wells, which was closed yesterday, has announced it will reopen today after its problems with heating were fixed.

The school is warning people of snow and ice in the car park and on Veal Lane, and is asking parents to drop children off at the B3139 bus stop between 8.45am and 9.30am. Staff will be on hand to take the pupils to the school.
