Tub-thumping treats as 'drum day' hits city music academy
Wells Music Academy is has announced a fantastic day for percussionists and drum kit players with the celebrated percussionist Ralph Salmins.
It will be held on Saturday when the workshops and demonstrations by Ralph will be open to all interested percussion and drum kit players.

The morning masterclass will provide drum kit players with the chance to glimpse what it is like to experience life as a working musician.

Ralph Salmins' professional career began in 1980 and has continued to bring him recognition worldwide.
His ability to traverse musical styles that include jazz, rock, rhythm and blues, funk, pop and classical music has enabled him to work with some of the most well-known names in the music business.
Ralph's credits include radio and TV commercials, motion picture soundtracks and performances on countless albums with artists from around the world.
Ralph has received nominations for the British Jazz Awards three times and has been the winner of the best drummer category at the British Jazz Awards in 2006 and 2007.
He has worked with many world famous artists including ABBA, Shirley Bassey, Madonna, Michael Buble, Mariah Carey and The Four Tops.
The percussion day will take place between 10am and 4pm in the Concert Hall of Wells Cathedral School.
This musical opportunity is free for this, its inaugural launch, so tickets are limited and offered on a first come first served basis.
