Trust to hold taster session for budding young players
YEOVIL Town Community Sports Trust will hold a free taster session for boys in Sherborne next month.
The charitable arm of the Sky Bet Championship Glovers will be at the Oxley Sports Centre on Monday, October 14 from 6pm to 7.30pm, welcoming youngsters in school years two to seven.
Children showing ability will then be invited to attend the Yeovil Development Centre, which, during the winter, is held every Monday evening at Oxley before moving to the trust's Alvington training complex in spring.
As well as weekly training sessions and development days, players in the development centre also get to watch matches at Huish Park as part of the trust's match day experience.

Players progressing within the development centre programme are recommended to trial with the advanced development centre - established in September 2012 - giving all of those involved a goal to work towards.
The trust aims to improve the technical ability of promising young players whilst giving them an opportunity to train and play at a higher level. However, participating in the development centre does not prevent players representing junior clubs. Coaches are FA-qualified, CRB-checked and hold safeguarding children and emergency first aid certificates.
YTCST will hold an identical session at the Blue School, Wells on October 14.
For more information and to register your child on the sessions contact Bob Thomas on 01935 706671 or email Bthomas@ytfc.net.
