Triple jumper meets schoolchildren
GOLD medallist Julian Golley has visited Evercreech School pupils to tell them about life as an elite athlete.
The Commonwealth Games triple jumper met every student at the school and had his photo taken with them individually.
Schoolchildren took part in various activities including sit ups, press ups, squat thrusts and star jumps for 30 seconds.
They had a whole school assembly to learn about Julian's life as an athlete and his competition experience.
Before the event, the children were each given a sponsor form and envelope and were encouraged to seek sponsorship from friends and family. The money raised will be shared between the school and organisation Superschools, which funds the training of young athletes.
School administrator Sarah Tully said: "This was a wonderful opportunity for our children to meet a top athlete and continue the Olympic legacy."
