Trip back in time for talk on TV costumes
Mid-Somerset Decorative and Fine Arts Society
The society is open to new members in central and east Somerset who are interested in the arts in the widest sense – painting, textiles, heraldry, architecture, literature and more.
We meet in the Caryford Hall, in Castle Cary, normally on the third Tuesday of the month, at 11am, with tea, coffee and biscuits available from 10.30am. Lectures are illustrated with large numbers of digital illustrations. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere in a comfortable modern hall with its own extensive parking. Pay at the door and then decide whether to become a member.
The meeting on December 11 (second Tuesday of the month) will begin with a glass of Christmas punch and the lecture, given by Anna Buruma, is entitled It Will Never Show: Designing Historical Costumes for Film and Television.
