Trio brings their harp, accordion and fiddle
Glastonbury's enduring monthly acoustic gig, Fabulous Furry Folk, has now entered its seventh year, and continues to arrange concerts in the atmospheric stone hall of the town's Assembly Rooms.
Usually the gigs include floor spots from local and visiting performers, and uses semi-ambient microphones for an intimate sound and special atmosphere.
November's headliners, playing this Tuesday are Lady Maisery, a vocal trio of Hannah James and Sam Sweeney and Demon Barbers and Kerfuffle, Hazel Askew from The Askew Sisters and Rowan Rheingans from Fidola. Inspired by the folk singing traditions of the UK and northern Europe, Lady Maisery sing songs and ballads both unaccompanied, and with backing from their combined instrumental talents on accordion, harp and fiddle.
Doors open at 8pm for an 8.30pm start, and tickets, priced at £10/£8, are available from The Speaking Tree Bookshop, High Street Glastonbury, or by from Bristol Ticket Shop, call 0117 929 9008.
