Tractor and motorcyclist in collision
A COLLISION between a tractor and a motorcyclist occurred this morning between Oldway Lane and Newport Hill in Wrantage.
The fire crew reported that the motorcyclist was trapped underneath an agricultural trailer and lifted the trailer using low pressure air bags.
Sgt Mark Whitfield, from Avon and Somerset Police's road policing unit, stated the motorbike, clipped the back of a trailer being towed across the crossroads by a Range Rover.
Police said the motorcyclist was not seriously injured in the crash but has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, although his injuries are "not life-changing and not life-threatening".

The A378 was closed both ways due to the incident, with police reporting that there was oil spillage and debris on the road.
Police, ambulances, two fire engines, a rescue tender from Taunton, and a heavy rescue vehicle with a supporting appliance from Exeter were at the scene.
Traffic was diverted via North Curry but the road had since reopened.
Sgt Whitefield said: "It was quite a low speed impact.
"But 18 motorcyclists have been killed in Avon and Somerset so far this year, so we take all motorcycle accidents particularly seriously."
