Now it is turning its efforts towards the festive season to help put smiles on the faces of children who are suffering from ill health.

The park is asking people to support its toy appeal and will deliver all the donated gifts to youngsters at its nominated charity, Children's Hospice South West and to children staying in local hospitals.

Alistair Mead, Puxton's managing director, said: "We held a toy appeal last year which proved highly successful and we were able to give children staying in hospital gifts to give them some Christmas cheer.

"With our link up with Children's Hospice South West earlier this year, we are delighted to extend our appeal to also offer the toys to terminally ill children staying at Charlton Farm in Wraxall.

"We urge the community to get behind our efforts and make this a Christmas to remember for all of these youngsters."

Toys can be placed within the sleigh at Puxton's main reception from now until December 18 and the gifts will be delivered on December 19 and 20.
