Frome Town U9s lost 2-1 to Colerne Colts at the weekend
The harder pitches are allowing the lads to play a proper passing game and the result was never in doubt as Frome stormed to a 4-0 lead in the first 17 minutes.
Jake Richards headed home from a corner in the third minute before Jakub Zamorski's crosses allowed Rhys King to score twice.

George Walker-Wiltshire converted Jack Collins' cross for the fourth goal before Trowbridge pulled two goals back, with the second causing some controversy as goalkeeper Fox Collinson appeared to have both hands on the ball before it was stolen from him.
Frome came back strongly and forced an own goal before Dylan Payne headed in a corner after the break to make it 6-2.
The prolific Zamorski got his name on the scoresheet and then set up Walker-Wiltshire to complete the scoring.
Colerne Colts U9 2 Frome Town U9 1
Frome Town U9s missed the chance to go top of the table as they were edged out in an exciting match against leaders Colerne Colts.
Frome were slow to get into their stride and both teams found it hard to unlock the well-organised defences.
Theo went close for Frome after good work from Ruben and Onni, while tough tackling from Alfie and Tyler at the other end ensured that goalkeeper Lucas was rarely troubled.
Colerne went in front when a long ball down the middle caught the defence napping and, although Frome pressed forward for an equaliser, a long-range strike doubled the home side's lead.
In the second half, Lewis and Josh controlled the midfield for Frome, who created several chances.
Lewis had a shot cleared off the line and Theo hit the post before the pressure eventually told when player of the match Magor converted Onni's through ball, but the visitors could not force a second goal.
Frome Town U8s have faced three away trips in the last month, travelling to Lavington, Chippenham and Warminster.
Frome played some good passing football on a wet pitch at Lavington and Torin scored a great individual goal.
He was joined by Hugo, Joe and Josh on the scoresheet in an entertaining match on a 3G surface at Chippenham.
Joseph and William both netted hat-tricks during two matches against Warminster, while Jamie was also on target in one of the closely-fought encounters.
Several of Frome Town's mini players went to Yeovil Town's home match against Tranmere on Saturday.
The boys, who attend Yeovil's development centre in Warminster, were invited to the game and completed a lap of honour round the Huish Park pitch at half-time.
Frome Town U9s manager Justin Seviour said: "The boys have been going to the development centre for a few months and they are really benefiting from the extra coaching they receive."
