Toolstation Western League round-up: Hengrove beaten at Bradford
Bad weather caused 16 out of the 20 Toolstation Western League weekend fixtures to be postponed – although both the Premier and First Division leaders were able to play.
First Division pacesetters Hengrove went down 3-1 at Bradford, who won for the sixth game in succession.
Liam Milburn gave the hosts a ninth-minute lead with a 30-yard drive and Matt Minnis was soon denied a second by the frame of the goal.
Bradford, however, doubled their advantage shortly before half-time when Minnis crossed for Nick Ridout to convert.

Hengrove halved the deficit ten minutes into the second half when Ben Bament drove home from the edge of the box, but Bradford would not be denied.
Shaun Percival rattled the visitors’ crossbar from long range before Sam Jordan finally settled matters with a near-post finish from another Minnis cross.
Fourth-placed Cribbs made up ground on the leaders with a 3-1 home win over Corsham, Jordan Yeo firing in an eighth-minute free-kick to give the hosts an ideal start.
The home side took a two-goal lead on 28 minutes when Dominic Graffagnino was tripped in the box and Kris Reubens converted from the penalty spot.
Matt Jenkins soon pulled a goal back for Corsham, but the hosts clinched victory when Andy Forward headed in a Graffagnino corner midway through the second half.
Cribbs are now level on points with third-placed Calne, who were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Oldland.
The closest either side came to winning was when Calne had a 20th-minute effort ruled out for a foul.
Waterlogged pitches saw the postponement of the games at Almondsbury, Chard, Elmore, Shepton Mallet, Shrewton, Warminster and Wellington.
The only game to beat the weather in the Premier Division was at bottom-of-the-table Barnstaple, where leaders Brislington won 6-2.
Brislington effectively secured the game in the first half, taking a four-goal lead.
Frank Gingell hit a hat-trick for the table-toppers, while Adam Mahdi struck a brace and Alex Lambert completed the scoring. Jeff Meacham’s side now have a four-point lead at the top, although second-placed Cadbury Heath have two games in hand.
The games at Bishop Sutton, Bitton, Bristol Manor Farm, Cadbury Heath, Radstock, Street, Wells, Willand and Winterbourne were all postponed.
