A teenager was grabbed and had her top ripped off by a man on Monday night.

The attacker grabbed the victim around the waist and removed the garment as she was walking along the canal in Bridgwater, Somerset, at about 11pm.

She struggled free and suffered minor injuries. She said the man had well-built arms. Police are treating the matter as sexual assault and ask anyone with information to call Bridgwater CID on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
