A teacher has been arrested following allegations of a sexual nature at a West school.

It is understood Dulverton Middle School, Somerset, has suspended the male teacher while an inquiry takes place.

A police spokeswoman said: "A 49-year-old man from the Dulverton area has been arrested following allegations of a sexual nature. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage."

She added anyone who has concerns should contact police.
