Tea party was in wonderland
Fans of Alice In Wonderland – young and old – made sure they did not miss out on a very important date on Sunday.
More than 400 people flocked to the Kilver Court Gardens in Shepton Mallet for the annual Summer Garden Fete.

This year's theme was a Mad Hatter's Tea Party, with the added fun of a fancy dress competition with dozens of people entering into the spirit of the occasion and turning up in costume. Other entertainment included a treasure hunt, a duck race, live music, charity stalls, craft demonstrations, giant chess and croquet games and a bouncy castle.
One of the highlights of the day was performances by young swing singer Tom Carpenter – the Frome 16-year-old who was one of the finalists out of 5,000 other hopefuls in Sky TV's recent Must Be The Music programme.
Charles Lawson, general manager at Kilver Court, said: "It was a huge success and it was great to see so many people of all ages enjoying themselves. We would like to say thank you to everyone who supported it."
