Taxi driver saved my mum's life
I WRITE to praise my mum's taxi driver. I know taking taxis are expensive, but in this case he more than proved his worth.
My mum for the past few years has been a live-in carer for my nan who lives in Wick.
I have been staying at our house in Fishponds and on a Monday my mum would come back to stay with me in Fishponds.
Neither my mum or myself drive and getting between these two places isn't always easy as the bus from Wick only runs every other hour. So my mum has been regularly using Careline taxis based in Kingswood.

This week however before the taxi got to Kingswood my mum said she wasn't feeling well so instead of being dropped in Kingswood as normal she said to Phil just take me straight home instead.
I have just started back at college so if she had been taken home she would have been there by herself. But Phil didn't listen to her he decided to turn back to take mum into Wick doctors' surgery to get her checked out and just as he was getting there she passed out in the taxi.
She was having a heart attack. The doctors at the surgery were able to help her right away and an ambulance was called and she was taken to the BRI were she is making a recovery after her heart stopping. I am just so grateful for the actions of Phil if he had just taken her home I dread to think what I might have come home to that evening.
