Taunton woman celebrates birthday on wrong day for 70 years
A pensioner finally celebrated her birthday on the correct date – after marking it on the wrong day her entire life.
Freda Winmill, 70, was born on January 21 1943 but due to a mix-up when she was a baby she believed her birthday was 24 hours earlier. She was born in Belgium and fled during the war.
The family moved to Taunton, where authorities mistook when she was registered – January 22 – for when she was born.
