The ten men of Cinderford Town held on to claim a much-needed 2-1 win against Taunton Town in Division One South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League.

Hitting back from a goal down to take the points, the Foresters held on for the final 20 minutes after Matt Barnes was sent for an early bath.

The visiting Peacocks took the lead on 28 minutes as Craig Herrod picked his way unchallenged between the home defence to slot past Alex Harris.

The equaliser came five minutes from the break after good work from Smith set Dale Evans up to power a deflected drive past Conor Thompson.

Alex Evans put the Foresters in front three minutes before the hour mark, rising to head home a free-kick, and that was how the game stayed until the final whistle.
