Taste sensation as first Wells Food Festival on Sunday
Foodies will be in seventh heaven this Sunday as the first ever Wells Food Festival is served up.
There's something for every taste with everything from the Great Somerset Sunday Lunch to truffle hunting on the Cathedral Green.
An artisan market is being staged in a marquee in Wells Market Place, from 10.30am.
A selection of food producers, all from within 25 miles of Wells, will be selling their wares at the market ranging from local cheeses, smoked fish and meats to preserves and oils to fruit.

A chance to vote for the best local newcomer cheese is being offered at the Queen's Street Deli stall in the artisan market.
At 10.30am, Adrian Boots will be giving a talk on wild food foraging at the Parkes Room in Wells Town Hall.
The Bishop's Barn plays host to the Big Milk Debate at 11.30am for noon where a panel of guests will debate the issues surrounding this crucial local commodity.
On the panel will be David Cotton, Neil Darwent, Judith Freane, Stephen Hook (the Moo Man) and Michael Eavis – come and have your say in the Question Time-style debate, chaired by Joanna Blythman, who is one of Britain's leading investigative food journalists.
The Bishop's Barn milk event will also feature an opportunity to take part in a blind "milk tasting" where six different sorts of milk will be available.
At 11.40am, Adrian Boots will be leading an urban wild food foray from the Bishop's Eye.
At noon Marion Dean will give a talk on Somerset truffles in the Parkes Room.
Marion will give a brief outline of the truffle as part of our culinary heritage and will describe some of her escapades as a modern day truffle hunter with her specially trained dogs.
At 1pm Marion and her dog Mufti will give a demonstration of truffle hunting, starting from the Bishop's Eye.
The Town Hall lunch is sold out but tickets are still available for the Bishop's Palace lunch at 1.30pm.
On the menu will be produce from Brown and Forrest Smokery, Leivito Bakery, cheesemaker Westcombe Dairy and butcher Jon Thorner.
Ciders from Orchard Pig will be available and selected wines will be available to complement lunch and the pudding and cheese courses will feature Orchard Pig ciders that have been chosen to match the food.
While guests are sipping their cider, Neil Macdonald from Somerset's Orchard Groundcare will give an insight into the history and importance of orchards, particularly cider apple orchards in the local area.
At 1.30pm, Alan Stone will be giving a talk on Somerset's Cider Heritage at the Parkes Room, in Wells Town Hall.
A cake competition will be judged at Pickwicks Caffe in Broad Street by Fiona Cairns, who made the royal wedding cake for William and Kate.
Two categories will be judged, best taste and best decoration, with specific recipes for each category.

At 3pm the Wells Foodie Walk starts from the Bishop's Eye.
From 3.30pm children will be able to get involved in the action with cupcake decorating for children at Pickwicks Caffe.
Pearl Lowe will be hosting a vintage tea party at the Fountain Inn, at 3.30pm and Fiona Cairns will be giving a talk on making the royal wedding cake and her latest book, Seasonal Baking.
Also at 3.30pm a talk – The Ethicurean, Tales from a Kitchen Garden – is being held at the Parkes Room.
The Ethicurean is a restaurant in a Victorian walled garden in Wrington.
Their philosophy is: "Eat local, celebrate native foods, live well."
At 4pm the documentary The Moo Man is being shown at Wells Film Centre, followed by a question and answer session with its subject Stephen Hook and the producer Andy Heathcote.
Modern British dairy farms must get bigger and bigger or go under is the current thinking, but farmer Mr Hook decides to buck the trend.
Instead he chooses to have a great relationship with his small herd of cows and ignore the big supermarkets and dairies.
The result is a laugh-out-loud emotional roller-coaster of a film, a heart warming tearjerker about the incredible bonds between man, animal and countryside in a fast disappearing England.
Finally at 4.30pm a book signing event is being held at the Parkes Room with a variety of food authors.
