Talk on a sustainable way to good food
BIOLOGIST and author Colin Tudge will be speaking at Glastonbury Town Hall tomorrow as part of an evening of speakers and a local food feast. More than 100 people are expected to bring and share food they have grown or sourced locally.
Colin Tudge, author of Good Food For Everyone Forever as well as a number of other titles, aims to ignite "nothing less than a people's takeover of the world's food supply" through his speeches and work with the Campaign for Real Farming.
He said: "If agriculture in Britain and around the world were designed to do what most people innocently suppose is its job – to provide us all with good food without wrecking the environment at large and driving our fellow creatures to extinction – it would not resemble what we have now."
There will also be talks about sustainable agriculture, access to land and food poverty.
