"I'm sure they will be very interested to see him and hear what he has to say."
Cornwall Spring Flower Show is renowned for its competitive classes in ornamental trees and shrubs, magnolias, camellias, rhododendrons, daffodils, herbaceous plants, bulbs, pot plants, alpines, photography and floral art.
Held at the Boconnoc estate, near Lostwithiel, the event was first staged in the 19th century. Originally focusing on Cornish daffodils and narcissi, it now showcases a wealth of Cornish springtime shrubs and flowers.
Next year's event will take place on Saturday and Sunday April 5 and 6. For more information visit cornwallgardensociety.org.uk
