Swans continue to raise money for charity
"Birds of a feather flock together" and five of our local Swans did just that when they took flight last week and landed next to the lake at Cameley Lodge near Temple Cloud.
No doubt their arrival caused a surprise and a few ruffled feathers to the local lake inhabitants.

Naomi, the Masonic Swan, and her friends Toothy Fruity, Cigno, Olivia, and Dune had flocked there to welcome guests to the Benevolent Lodge of Wells Ladies Night.
In honour of their arrival a collection was made for St Margaret's Hospice.

During their visit they also greeted Peter and Gwyneth Hudson who had travelled down from Kent to celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary with a number of their West Country relatives.
They, the Ladies Night guests, and other visitors to the lodge, were amused and delighted to be met by the Swans.
Collectively, the 60 Swans, which had graced the Wells area during 2012, raised £47,000 for local good causes.
Many of them have settled locally and are a familiar and welcome sight.
