Surrey make approach to sign seamer Turner
Somerset pace bowler Mark Turner is a target for Surrey.
The London club's director of cricket, Chris Adams, has served Somerset with 28 days' notice of approach for the former Durham seamer.

Turner is out of contract at Somerset at the end of this season and is in talks with the club over his future.
But Turner may be tempted by the chance to play at The Oval, a Test match ground with a pitch that historically favours quick bowlers because of its bounce.
Turner recently said he wanted to stay at Somerset, saying he had "unfinished business" at Taunton.
But the 25-year-old has played just two Championship matches in the last three seasons and has even dropped out of the one-day side in recent weeks.
Turner is seen by Somerset as a wicket-taker, but what counts against him is the expensive nature of his bowling.
He is in the squad for today's one-day friendly with Pakistan at the County Ground but will have to pass a fitness test on an ankle injury to play against the tourists.
Captain Marcus Trescothick will sit out the match, having played in every game so far this season.
He insists his team will not be distracted by the furore over the allegations of Test match betting that have embroiled the Pakistan team.
"It doesn't detract from our objectives," he said. "There is bound to be a bit of media hype with it being their only game between the Test match and one-day series.
"There is bound to be a bit of attention and we know there is a bit going on at the Holiday Inn in Taunton, but the guys have to concentrate on what they are doing."
Somerset could have as many as four teenagers in their side – three of them debutants if Lewis Gregory, Adam Dibble and Craig Meschede all play alongside the more experienced Jos Buttler.
"They will enjoy seeing the pressure and the atmosphere of playing against an international team," said Trescothick.
"That is going to be a real big insight for some of the lads and maybe a few of the younger boys will be given the opportunity to see what it is all about. I think we will stay pretty focused on what we have to do."
Somerset's main focus for the week is to win their final Clydesdale Bank 40 match at home to Glamorgan on Saturday to earn a semi-final at home next weekend.
