Stowey Sutton made safer as speed limit cut to 30mph
A move to improve road safety in Stowey Sutton has seen the speed limit reduced from 60 to 30mph.
The change comes after residents spoke out at a meeting in July last year about the dangers of vehicles travelling too fast.

Bath and North East Somerset Council joined forces with Stowey Sutton Parish Council to reduce the speed limit following a Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meeting – which gets residents together with police and council officers to identify issues affecting their neighbourhood.
John Eke, who lives in the village, said: "We cannot stress strongly enough the value of PACT meetings. By attending our first one in an informal and easy atmosphere we were able to register our concerns.

"Our beat officer took matters in hand and by the next meeting we'd had two or three meetings with him and the council traffic engineer.
"This was followed up by discussions with our parish council who provided financial assistance and there was the overwhelming support of the Stowey residents.
"We have nothing but praise for all the authorities involved."
B&NES conducted a consultation where, according to the council's cabinet member for transport councillor Roger Symonds (Lib Dem, Combe Down), an "overwhelming" number of people backed a speed reduction.
He said the new measures will also hopefully make the area safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
A combination of B&NES money, planning development contributions and parish council cash has funded the scheme which runs from the A368 through the village up to Stowey House Farm.
