Steve switches Brewhouse show to alternative venue
Folk hero Steve Knightley, Show of Hands singer, songwriter and guitarist, has found a new venue for a gig that he was due to play at The Brewhouse tomorrow night, after the Taunton arts centre went into administration last weekend.
Steve, who in solo guise performs self-penned material that doesn't quite fit into the Show of Hands mould, as well as some of the famed duo's classics, will now take to the stage at the Functions Room of the Honiton Motel.
"It's informal, intimate and – above all – available," says Steve. "So sorry about this; it was looking to be a big night, but this should be a cracker too."
People holding tickets for the Brewhouse are advised to contact their credit card companies. Tickets for the new venue will be £12 in cash on the door. Anyone planning to attend is asked to email promoter Kevin Henderson at kevin@lodgemusicpro.co.uk.

Free EPs for first 50 turning up for launch party gig
Bouncy Cornish indie quartet The Beutons launch their new EP – I didn't ask for it and I don't want it – tonight with a party at the B-Side at Bunters club night in Truro.
The Perranporth band are musical magpies picking the shiny bits from music's finest eras. They have been peddling their hook-laden original songs since 2010, taking the local battle of the bands circuit by storm.
They recorded this debut record with producer John Cornfield (Stone Roses, Muse, Supergrass) at Sawmills studio near Fowey. The first 50 people through the door tonight will get a free copy of the EP.
Women players pay tribute to a great jazz guitarist
Two of the UK's leading guitarists, Deirdre Cartwright and Kathy Dyson, team up to celebrate the life and work of the late, great New York jazz guitarist Emily Remler in a show at The B-Bar at Plymouth's Barbican Theatre on Thursday, March 7. They will perform swinging jazz standards, bossa nova, Remler originals and some of their own compositions, and will be joined on some numbers by vocalist Sarah P.
