Station plans FM launch
Community radio station FromeFM is gearing up for the launch into FM radio in early May.
From then on listeners will be able to hear the station on household and car radios as well as online and mobile phones.

The station was granted an FM licence by Ofcom in September which will run for five years and gives it the option to broadcast 24 hours a day.
Station manager Phil Moakes said: "We are working closely with the Memorial Theatre who have kindly agreed to let us site our new transmitter on their roof. This will give a much better coverage of Frome than our previous FM transmissions during the Frome Festival that were made from an aerial on the back of our studios.
"We hope to launch FromeFM on FM in early May so that we are in good time to report on the Olympic Torch coming through Frome towards the end of the month."
FromeFM's next major live outside broadcast is the Frome Town Council question time to be held in Wesley Church, the Butts, Frome on Tuesday, March 6, at 8pm.
The main item on the agenda will be the proposed Saxonvale development. People can listen in at www.fromefm.co.uk.
